A Queen Rearing Course is being offered on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the OSU Extension Honey Bee Laboratory in Wooster, OH. Registration will begin at 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. with the program starting at 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Queen Rearing Course will provide an introduction to honey bee genetics and selection, establishing a cell-builder and finisher, grafting, mating nuc design and use. The skills and knowledge gained will be beneficial in establishing your own queen rearing program.
